ACCEL Eliminates Burnt Plug Boots Forever

Accell Spark PlugACCEL now offers the cure for burnt spark plug wire boots with Extreme 9000 Ceramic Wire kits. The 8mm Ferro-Spiral core wire now has ceramic boots on the spark plug end of the wires that will withstand up to 2,000° F. If you are running headers with close tolerances, an engine bay with little room, or an RV with boots that melt because of heat, these wire kits are the answer for burnt and melting boots.

The ACCEL Extreme 9000 Ceramic wire sets have an ultra high temperature double silicone construction wire rated at 600° F. Rated at 500-ohms per foot of resistance, the Ferro-Spiral core is developed & designed for performance use. It provides excellent energy delivery to the spark plugs, while providing the highest level of RFI/EMI suppression. These universal kits are available with either Straight Boots, 90° Boots or even 115° Ford style boots. The ceramic boots are pre-installed from the factory at the spark plug end.

With continuous advancements in valve train technology, engine builders and performance enthusiasts alike are witnessing more aggressive cam profiles, higher valve spring pressures and higher engine rpm. Far too often, hydraulic lifters get caught in the middle of these competitive valve train innovations. That’s why engineers at COMP Cams® have recently developed the Short Travel Race Hydraulic Roller Lifters using a patent-pending design to maximize the performance of hydraulic roller lifters at higher engine speeds.

When performance engines are equipped with hydraulic lifters, high rpm is limited by the incorrect position of the lifter’s internal piston, as the lifter inevitably “pumps up”. This improper location results in open valves and therefore leads to lost power or sometimes even engine failure. The COMP Cams® Short Travel Race Hydraulic Roller Lifters limit that internal movement to a minimum, which cuts down on these issues and allows higher engine rpm.

The surface of this newly-designed lifter is REM-finished and then black oxided to significantly reduce surface friction, wear and lubrication temperatures. This creates not only a high performance component but an attractive one as well. The patent-pending Short Travel Race Hydraulic Roller Lifters are available for GM SBC, LS1/Warhawk/LSX and BBC engine applications.

Two kits are available; one with our Pro-Billet HEI (PN 8365) for applications that have enough room to take advantage of an internal coil and large cap. If you need something smaller, the other kit is supplied with our Ready-to-Run (PN 8360) Distributor along with a powerful Blaster SS Coil.

Both kits are complemented with a set of 8.5mm Super Conductor Wires, Pro-Clamp separators and even a billet Hold-Down Clamp!

Edge’s latest Juice with Attitude release for the 6.4L Ford is Edge’s most sophisticated and power-producing module to date. The Juice with Attitude dramatically improves the Ford 6.4L’s driveability, towing capability, mileage and power.

The Juice plugs into the truck’s factory connections in a matter of minutes and communicates directly with the engine’s ECM, from which it receives vital engine data and fuel system information. This communication enables the Juice to provide smooth and precise power under any driving condition. The Attitude is the in-cab controller that controls the Juice and provides constant real-time updates on the truck’s vital information. Using the Attitude, one can choose from five different power levels and shift on the fly.

The Juice with Attitude produces noticeable gains in horsepower and ft-lbs of torque — anywhere from 20-70 additional horsepower and 60-120 additional ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels. It is the premium power module, controller and gauge package. The Attitude functions as a comprehensive gauge display by monitoring exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), turbo boost, transmission slip and engine coolant temperature. The module even has built-in safety features to protect the truck, such as audible alerts and automatic defueling to prevent excessive EGT, boost levels and transmission slippage. It also displays 0-60 and quarter-mile times, adjusts for non-stock tire sizes and displays clears diagnostic trouble codes.

New with this module are a color-adjustable Attitude plus a custom pod to make the unit look like it came stock with the truck. Additionally, this is the first ever Internet-updateable module that Edge offers. Simply put, the Juice with Attitude is the simplest upgrade for the most driveable horsepower on the market.
